Rick Santorum may be
addicted to porn. Here
we see Rick Santorum
waving at the camera. |
WHAT DOES PORNOGRAPHY HAVE TO DO WITH THE ELECTIONS?
I was challenged today by
Rev. Dr. Melvin Woodworth, who said that he felt this presidential race was particularly the worst he has seen in his lifetime. I pondered if I could make the same conclusion. What was worse about it?
I thought about the current issues facing the United States: economy, record-soaring debt, unemployment, world-wide commerce rapidly changing the face of how we do business. Then, I thought about the issues being argued this year by the Republican Party: birth control, gay marriage, Obama's birth certificate, and now Rick Santorum is obsessed with: PORNOGRAPHY.

This Doctor (who surprisingly looks
like Jesus) proves that people
wear their issues on their sleeve.
He also takes blood pressure. |
I ask you, the reader, to consider what is important to America; social issues like porn and gay marriage, or, establishing the United States firmly on a foundation of employment and a solid economy. The Republicans are filled with an obsession for sex and sex related things. Could it be true that they protest too much about sex? My experience has revealed to me that people often wear their issues on their sleeve; that is, they draw a spotlight to it with their words, actions and passionate beliefs. It seeps out of them whether they know it or not.
You can tell a lot about a person by what they obsess over. Gay hating preachers often turn out to be self-loathing gays themselves. Women against abortion may have had one when they were younger. Politicians who are waving the "values" flag are discovered having extramarital affairs if not several marriages and divorces. Family values crusader
Newt Gingrich, Republican, is currently married to his third wife. Not surprisingly, now we have
Rick Santorum, Republican, who says that President Obama is soft on porn. Now why would Santorum bring this up?

Unidentified Demon caught
enjoying a Red Hot Chili Pepper
during a break. |
The reason he brings up the subject of pornography could be that Rick Santorum struggles with a sex addiction. Pornography could be his personal demon. That makes sense. What is worse is that he has identified a
specific pornography. Click the link and draw your own conclusions. I am simply saying that we have better things to do than worry about what people are doing with their private sex time. If Santorum struggles with pornography, then he shouldn't drag America along with him on his journey to control his urges. A nation is at stake. Most of us keep our personal weaknesses to ourselves and I would expect Santorum and the others to do the same.

Woman wonders if she should report
her restless sleep to the Republicans. They
may want to know about it. |
AS a group, the Republicans have been raising sex related issues as their main talking points. I suggest that they are afraid of tackling the real issues of employment and economic distress because they created these problems and they have NO solutions. They are creating a smokescreen to distract everyone.
Let's get the word out that Rick Santorum and his porn addicted ilk need to stay out of America's bedrooms and focus on the economy, jobs and helping to re-establish America as a good neighbor to other countries.
