Bishop Eddie Long is telling his flock that he beat the devil and that those four boys didn't intimidate him.

Listen to Eddie Long in this clip. He doesn't name the boys directly, but, he says that he showed the devil who is boss. Those enemies were not gonna intimidate him! He was gonna rise again and they could not bring him down.

I am hoping that the settlement reveals something new of the outrageous hypocrisy in Eddie Long. I am not against him having gay relationships at all. In fact, more power to him or anyone. The problem is that he uses his pulpit to bash gay people and gay rights. Then he is discovered to be gay himself! Then when his lovers realize that they are not "special" and that they are not his only lover, they get upset. Mr. Long claims he is "gonna fight this" without ever denying or affirming his guilt. A settlement is good for the boys, but it lets Long off the hook. And that bothers me. Why should he preach against gays and then be allowed to pay off his gay lovers?  I say, go ahead and have gay lovers, but don't lie to them and do not hurt them. Mr. Long is a snake in the grass.
